Lager’s International Ale House at 3501 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie will close for good this Saturday, December the 22nd. The locally owned beer specializing bar and eatery has become a Metairie favorite over the past twenty-four years sitting as a fixture at Severn and Veterans just across from where New Orleans Original Daiquiris was recently demolished to make way for a new Charles Schwab office.
It appears that the Lager’s building will be spared the wrecking ball as renderings released for Shake Shack which will be replacing Lager’s show that the building is being renovated to fit the new tenant’s needs.
The owners of Lagers who also own The Bulldog locations in Orleans Parish, Baton Rouge and Jackson, MS say that they are seeking a new location to reopen
