
Amid concerns from neighborhood residents, Jefferson Parish is putting any potential permit requests on hold for a proposed Metairie Road condo development project until it can be discussed in more detail.
A sign recently posted on the property advertising the condo project has spurred hundreds of online comments from neighbors concerned about the size and scope of the project. The concerned neighbors reached out to Jefferson Parish Councilwoman Jennifer Van
According to media reports, Metairie attorney Jim Hall has proposed building the six-story condo project at the site. “The neighbors who lived nearby had consistently been told that it would be a three-story development,” Van Vrancken said. The advertised development, however, is showing a six-story building.
